Το περιεργο παντως ειναι οτι bug που αφορα το ''0'' υπαρχει (ή μαλλον υπηρχε) μονο που αφορουσε το (πολυ) παλιο ircd του Efnet και οχι το mirc .Σε αποσυνεδεε απο το δικτυο και αυτο. Πληροφοριακα παντα το λεω και μαλιστα οποιος ενδιαφερεται να μαθει περισσοτερα μπορει να ψαξει σχετικα με το "channel zero" του 'chat' .Ηταν πολυ της μοδας καποια εποχη

Πολυ σωστα.Μιας και πιασαμε το θεμα, λιγο ακομα info που δεν αναφερεται στα RFCs (ουτε στο νεο 2812, ουτε στο παλιο 1459) Στο πρωτο μαλιστα RFC(1459) δεν αναφεροταν καν η επιλογη 0 του JOIN . Ποσο σχεση εχει αυτο το '0' με το
/join 0 που σε βγαζει απο ολα τα καναλια ,με το
/who 0 που σου δειχνει ολους τους visible χρηστες;
ή με το nick mode i (invisible) ;
Η απαντηση εχει να κανει με τους πρακτικους λογους που πολυ σωστα αναφερει ο HSOC και συγκεκριμενα με την υλοποιηση. Υπαρχει ενα και μοναδικο καναλι το οποιο δεν χρειαζεται κανενα ειδικο συμβολο (~,#,&,+,!) για να υπαρξει ('the single channel' ή κατα πολλους "the salt of IRC" ή "null channel" ). Στο καναλι αυτο κανουν join αυτοματα οσοι συνδεονται σε ενα irc server και ειτε παραμενουν μονο εκει , ειτε μπαινουν και σε αλλα καναλια. Μεσα σε αυτο το καναλι , φενονται μονο οσοι δεν ειναι +i οποτε παρολο που ειμαστε ολοι σε ενα κοινο καναλι ,δεν βλεπομαστε ολοι μεταξυ μας με τα /who ... .Μπορουμε ομως να στελνουμε μηνυματα σε οποιον ειναι μεσα σε αυτο το καναλι (δηλαδη σε ολους), δεν μπορουμε να στειλουμε public μηνυματα ομως στο καναλι.Αν γραψουμε /join 0 , οσο ειμαστε και σε αλλα καναλια, κανουμε part απο ολα και μενουμε μονο στο '0'
